Woodstock 50 Festival Canceled, According to Investors

The Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair, which was set to take place this summer and included acts such as JAY-Z and Miley Cyrus, has been canceled, according to investor Dentsu Aegis Network. In a statement released on Monday, the Network explained its “prudent decision” to abort plans for the 50th anniversary celebration. “We don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees,” they said, according to UPI. However, organizers say the August event is still on, telling journalists they “vehemently” deny the cancellation rumors.
