“The Masked Singer”: The Tree Gets Cut as Contestants Fight to Make the Finale

In a special Tuesday episode of The Masked Singer, the final six contestants all hit the stage hoping to impress the audience and judges Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and guest judge T-Pain. The stakes were high, as the six hoped to move on to the finale, Entertainment Tonight reports. The Fox kicked off performances with a rendition of “Blame It” by Jamie Foxx, followed by a heartfelt version of Fun’s “We Are Young” by The Leopard. Thingamajig then took the stage to do John Legend’s “Ordinary People,” which T-Pain said “was indistinguishable from John Legend. It must be John Legend in that costume, on stilts.” The Flamingo then got into the act with a “sexy, seamless” version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way,” before The Tree belted out a cover of Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory.” The final contestant, The Rottweiler, earned a standing ovation with his version of “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, before the judges and audience chose The Tree to be unmasked… and she turned out to be former Saturday Night Live star Ana Gasteyer (who Jenny McCarthy had correctly guessed!) The show returns Wednesday night where one of the five remaining contestants will be eliminated before the Season 2 finale.
