“The Masked Singer”: Double Reveal Eliminates 2 Singers; Only 3 Remain For Finale
In Wednesday’s penultimate episode of Season 2 of The Masked Singer, the five remaining candidates took the stage hoping to impress judges Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy, and move on to the finale next week. In the night’s first performance, The Fox took brought some Christmas cheer with a beautiful performance of “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway, followed by Rottweiler’s soulful version of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” which prompted McCarthy to say “Your voice deserves to be in the finals.” Next up was Thingamajig, who performed a super fun rendition of Bing Crosby’s “Winter Wonderland.” The Flamingo then checked in with one of the best performances of the season, as she sang the iconic Jeff Buckley version of “Hallelujah,” which prompted Thicke to say, “That was the first chill that went up and down my spine this season.” The Leopard then delivered a cool version of Shirley Bassey’s “Big Spender,” before the judges and audience were forced to eliminate not one, but two contestants. The first to go was Thingamajig, who turned out to be NBA star Victor Oladipo, which amazingly, was judge Ken Jeong’s guess! The next to go was The Leopard, who was then unmasked and revealed to be the singer Seal (which both Thicke and Scherzinger guessed correctly.) The show will conclude next Wednesday in the Season 2 finale, where The Fox, The Rottweiler and The Flamingo will compete for the title.
