Taylor Swift Will “Absolutely” Re-Record Her First 6 Albums
Taylor Swift reveals in a new interview that she “absolutely” plans to re-record her first six albums, which are currently owned by Big Machine Records. According to a press release shared on Wednesday, Swift will discuss the loophole with interviewer Tracy Smith on this weekend’s episode of CBS Sunday Morning. “Might you do that?” Smith asks during the segment, to which Swift responds, “Oh yeah.” Looking to clarify, Smith allegedly continues, “That’s a plan?” Swift answers, “Yeah, absolutely.” Swift’s master copies have been a hot topic this summer, after it was announced in late June that Scooter Braun had bought her former label and now owned Swift’s music. Singer Kelly Clarkson suggested the idea of Swift re-recording her old material via tweet in mid-July.
