Taylor Swift, Rita Ora Speak Out in Support of Bebe Rexha Following Ageism Post

Bebe Rexha is getting a ton of support from fellow artists after posting a sexy image of herself on Instagram Monday. Entertainment Tonight reports that the black-and-white image shows Rexha posing in lingerie, alongside a lengthy post. “I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was ‘confusing,’ Because…I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are suppose to do, especially for my age,” Rexha wrote. “I’m 29. I’m fed up with being put in a box. I make my own rules.” The musician also said she was tired of women getting labeled as “hags” when they turn 30, while men are said to be “sexy with age.” Fellow artists jumped in to support her, with Taylor Swift commenting, “DRAG THEM. 29 YEAR OLDS UNITE.” Rita Ora added, “My sexy songwriting (queen,) You are beautiful, getting sexier with age and your talent SINGS for itself. Keep making those rules.” Singer Natasha Bedingfield, 37, also chimed in, saying, “I know this story and this kind of ‘advice’ is so bulls**t. I love you!”
