Nothing to see here, why do you ask? Tara Reid thanked her fans for their support after she cut her recent Sharknado tour short following a series of bizarre interviews. She added that she’s in "great spirits."
"I’d like to thank my fans from the depths of my soul for their continued support, which has made this Sharknado my most successful one yet," she wrote in a statement to People on Wednesday. "We worked harder than ever on this film and also the promotion of the film."
Fans became concerned after she slurred her way through interviews on Channel Nine’s Today Extra in Sydney and Fox 5 in New York. But Reid insisted in the statement that her appearances were "successful."
"While it’s unfortunate to see some of the recent negative press following a successful week of promoting and supporting the film, I’m happy to know that my fans continue to stand by me — this is for them!" the 42-year-old wrote.
The hard-partying star has been in rehab before, and when a post (since deleted) appeared on Twitter citing "back issues," many assumed the worst. Later, she told The Blast that she never sent the tweet. "It made no sense, why would I write that?" she said at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles.
Reid is maintaining that all is well now and that she looks forward to what’s ahead. "I am in great spirits and health and I look forward to my future projects and what’s in store for me next," she wrote.
