Tamera Mowry-Housley has confirmed the tragic news that her 22-year-old niece Alaina was one of the victims of Wednesday night’s shooting at a bar in Thousands Oaks, California.
"Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks," Adam Housley and Mowry-Housley said in a joint statement released by their rep on Thursday. "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner.
Ian David Long, a former marine, entered the bar and killed 12 people. He was also killed.
The Sister Sister star first alluded to her missing niece when she responded to a tweet her roommate sent out after the shooting.
"Ashley this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?" the actress asked.
