Sylvester Stallone Shocks Teens at Rocky Statue While Filming Facebook Super Bowl Ad With Chris Rock

When a group of New Jersey high-schoolers took a field trip to the Rocky statue in Philadelphia this week, they never could’ve guessed they’d meet Sylvester Stallone himself in the flesh. But that’s what happened Monday to a group of juniors from the Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism School in Paterson. “I see Sylvester Stallone actually walking toward me,” vice principal John Super says. “I’m saying ‘No, no, this isn’t really him. This is probably just a lookalike.'” Stallone posed for pics with the teens in front of his statue after telling them, “I was doing some work up here so I thought I’d drop by.” Not coincidentally, the teens had previously been told they couldn’t climb the nearby “Rocky steps” because of a film shoot taking place there. It’s since been revealed that Stallone was shooting a cameo for what will be Facebook’s first-ever Super Bowl ad. “We’re doing something pretty extraordinary. You will be seeing it in a few months,” Stallone said on social media while teasing the ad, which will also feature Chris Rock. Sly also tweeted, “It was fantastic working with @chrisrock. We got along great. Admire his wit…@Facebook did a great job producing, and it is going to be amazingly entertaining at #SuperBowlLIV.”
