Sheryl Crow Takes Back Calling Taylor Swift’s Masters Battle a “Big Stink”

Sheryl Crow Takes Back Calling Taylor Swift’s Masters Battle a “Big Stink”Sheryl Crow is sorry she didn’t put it more “Delicate”-ly when she dissed Taylor Swift’s fight to own her masters as a “big stink” this week. “To those who thought I was downplaying @taylorswift13’s masters changing hands, I chose the wrong word. I should have said I don’t know what the situation is instead of the word ‘stink,’ which sounds extremely negative,” Crow tweeted Thursday. “I have total respect for Taylor and always wish the best for her.” She also stated in an accompanying video, “When I said I didn’t know what the stink was about, I meant I didn’t know what the situation was about.” She added, “I know my masters have changed quite a few times. But I wouldn’t weigh in on what her situation is, because I really didn’t know. So for all you guys out there that think that ‘stink’ was a negative word, it was totally a wrong word choice.” When asked on Wednesday’s Watch What Happens Live about Swift’s decision to re-record her masters after Scott Borchetta sold Big Machine Records to nemesis Scooter Braun, Crow had said, “It’s totally not unusual for your masters to change hands like 9,000 times. So I don’t know what the big stink was.”https://variety.com/2019/music/news/sheryl-crow-taylor-swift-masters-1203334512/?fbclid=IwAR06YSln4sqRjgHNs71HynRulNXEEOHkIOyiVFVh3c7umOy-qnJU4jN3Hw0
