SETH ROGEN’S FILM PROJECT DEFENDS PUTTING CHILD ACTOR IN BLACKFACE

A child actor’s stand-in on Good Boys, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, was snapped in blackface by gossip site TMZ. The actor is a place-holder for Keith L. Williams, 11, when he’s on break.

In addition to wearing dark makeup, he is also wearing a fake afro and a fat suit. Yikes!

But the production company defends the move, saying it’s "not uncommon" and just for "lighting purposes." TMZ reached out to industry experts who said that instead of using blackface, most directors cast stand-ins with the same racial background as the actor.

Variety describes Good Boys, starring Jacob Tremblay, Molly Gordon, Midori Francis and Brady Noon, as a cross between Sausage Party and Superbad.
