Scooter Braun Tweets “Kindness Is the Only Response” Amid Taylor Swift Feud
Can’t we all just get along? That seems to be Scooter Braun’s response to the ongoing drama between him and pop star Taylor Swift. ET reports that on Tuesday, the 38-year-old music mogul tweeted “Words to live by” alongside a graphic that reads, “Kindness is the only answer.” The tweet comes less than 24 hours after his Big Machine label and Dick Clark Productions said in a joint statement that Swift would be able to perform songs from her back catalog at the American Music Awards this coming weekend. “It should be noted that recording artists do not need label approval for live performances on television or any other live media,” the statement also said. “Record label approval is only needed for contracted artists’ audio and visual recordings and in determining how those works are distributed.” Last week, Swift kicked off another chapter in her ongoing saga against Big Machine when she claimed her former label wouldn’t let her perform her old hits in a career-spanning medley in honor of her receiving AMAs’ Artist of the Decade award.
