SARAH SILVERMAN IS NOT PLAYING IT COOL OVER ‘I LOVE YOU’ CANCELLATION

Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America got canceled by Hulu in its second season, and she is not taking the news in stride.

She shared the news on Twitter, writing: "Well, Hulu cancelled ‘I Love You, America’ and we’re all pretty damn heartbroken. … So in traditional twitter funeral style, I’ll be RTing the love."

Social media users recoiled in horror, with the general reaction being along the lines of one user's lengthy, "BOOOOOOO," and several others calling for other networks (like HBO) to "make it right."

Variety reports that Silverman and her team at Funny or Die are already on it, shopping the series around. In the show, Silverman dissected current events and attempted to cut through the partisanship currently splitting the country up. The show typically begins with a monologue from Silverman, followed by guest interviews and pre-taped segments.

The show was nominated for an Emmy in the outstanding variety sketch series in 2018; it has a 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
