Rapper Tekashi69 Will Testify Against Violent Gang Members
Federal prosecutors say Rapper Tekashi69 will testify against his former New York street gang Nine Trey next week. The Daily Beast reports that the Brooklyn-born rapper pleaded guilty to nine federal charges last February, including weapons, racketeering and drug charges while entering into a plea agreement. Part of that agreement requires that he testify against gang members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack in a Manhattan court. Ellison is accused of kidnapping and robbing Tekashi69, in July of 2018. The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, rose to fame by making extreme music videos and posting them on social media. He entered the mainstream last year with “FEFE,” a collaboration with Nicki Minaj.
