Pink Was So High in Her 1st Music Video, She Couldn’t Keep Her Eyes Open

In an interview with Billboard, Pink took a look back at some highlights of her career, and revealed some funny anecdotes about the making of her very first music video for the song “There You Go.” Pink, real name Alicia Moore, said she was 19 when she made the video and was smoking a lot of weed, prompting director Dave Meyers to ask her “‘Can you wait to smoke that next blunt before the beauty shot?” The now 40-year-old said “I was like [closes eyes], ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘I really want you to be able to open your eyes. I was like [eyes still closed], ‘My eyes are open.’” Pink also said she loves her look in the video, saying it was “the prettiest I’ve ever looked, and will ever look” but noted some complications with the video’s motorcycle-heavy action. “I’d just started riding motorcycles and almost crashed 85 times.”
