Pete Davidson gave a heckler mocking rapper Mac Miller’s death the boot at his show Monday night, Page Six reports.
An attendee tells the paper that the Saturday Night Live star began the set by joking: "So a funny thing happened to me recently in my apartment … my friend died of a heart attack."
That’s when a member of the audience at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, NJ, yelled, "Mac Miller!" Miller died of a drug overdose in September; he was famously involved with Davidson’s ex-fiancee Ariana Grande before they got together.
The spy tells Page Six: "Pete calmly stops his routine and asks the audience to ID the dude that yelled out and that he is going to have to leave. He then asks security to locate the yeller and escort him out."
The comic added: "And give him back his money. I don’t want his money."
When nothing happened for a second, Davidson said: "I’m serious. I’m going to leave the stage. So if you want to hear the rest of the show, you’ll point out to security who yelled so they can escort him out. If not, I’m going to leave right now. I’m not going to have any of that s–t happening at my show."
Show-goers then pointed to the culprit and he was escorted out. The joke ended up being about a friend who passed out, but ended up being fine.
