Shortly after taking to social media to discuss his hard-won sobriety, Ben Affleck was photographed stumbling on his way to a UNICEF Masquerade Ball. Later, he was photographed at a casino with a female friend around 1 am. After sitting at a poker table with her for a few minutes, they left shortly after. Many assumed the troubled star—who has been in and out of rehab multiple times—was hitting the bottle again.
"It happens. It was a slip. But I'm not going to let it derail me," the 47-year-old actor told TMZ on Sunday when asked about the previous night's party. He did not respond when asked if he'd return to rehab.
On Sunday he was also photographed with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who drove him to rehab last time, and their three children, Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, and son Samuel, 7.
"You could tell that it wasn't an easy thing for him, but Ben owned his mistake," a source told People.
"He looked tired," the source added of his appearance at Garner's house.
Meanwhile, Garner is standing by Affleck, an insider tells Us Weekly. "She's upset but always supportive." The outlet adds that Affleck's sober coach has reached out and they've met.
