Miranda Lambert Endorses Carrie Underwood for CMA Entertainer of the Year
Miranda Lambert took to social media on Monday to endorse Carrie Underwood for CMA Entertainer of the Year. As Billboard reports, Lambert showed her support for the first female artist to be nominated for the category in three years in a lengthy, heartfelt post. After first praising each of the male singers nominated in the category–Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Chris Stapleton and Eric Church–Lambert wrote, “Currently being on tour with all female artists, I’ve been thinking a lot about all the work that goes into what we do.” She added, “She put out her first single in 2005 and from then on country music was changed for good…She blows me away every time she sings. She never wavers in who she is or what she stands for.” The CMA awards take place on November 13 and Underwood will host for the 12th year running.
