Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months behind bars for tax evasion, but his friends are showing up in force to support their friend.
Sorrentino and his fiancée Lauren Pesce were photographed leaving the federal courthouse hand-in-hand. Later, they took to Instagram to share thanks to their fans and hope for the future.
Pesce captioned her throwback shot of them: "Thank you for all of your messages of love & support. We are happy to put an end to this chapter and excited to move forward in our future. We are blessed to have our health and the outpouring of support from family, friends & fans. We love you."
Fellow Jersey Shore cast members Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Ronnie Magro-Ortiz, DJ Pauly D, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick also appeared at court, many wearing black.
They were photographed leaving the court after the couple, offering their love and support. Sorrentino’s lawyer told TMZ: "Mike accepts the Court's judgment. He is looking forward to marrying his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, next month and moving forward together after he serves his sentence."
Sorrentino will have to surrender to authorities in 30 to 60 days, but until then, he’s free.
