Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a complicated relationship with social media. (Which, let's face it, same). While Harry especially has repeatedly publicly warned young people from falling into the trap of placing too much emphasis on social media, the pair once again, used their might IG power to make a point.
For the second time, the Sussexes unfollowed everyone on their Instagram account and pledged to choose who to follow over the next few days. They asked their millions of followers who should be on their lucky list of follows this month.
They wrote: "Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow. We will choose 15 accounts and follow them next Monday, as we spend the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all of our lives."
This is part of the pair's "Forces for Change" initiative, in which they use their standing to draw attention to charitable causes. Meghan guest-edited British Vogue's September issue under the same banner.
