Meghan Markle and Prince Harry jetted down to Ibiza to celebrate her 38th birthday in royal style with their son Archie. However, the news has not been greeted with glee on social media as many call out the pair's "hypocrisy" for flying via private jet while simultaneously urging the "plebes" to be eco-conscious.
Noted Meghan foe Piers Morgan also took to Twitter to vent his displeasure, writing: "Saving the planet, one private jet at a time."
Several followers agreed. One wrote: "You're absolutely correct, virtue signalling and full hypocrisy!!"
Another agreed adding: "Utterly ludicrous! If you're going to take private jets, fine but then don't preach about climate change. Hopeless!"
Still, others defended the Sussexes. One wrote: "Jesus...again with this. Can't you get a new hobby?"
Another added: "Oh Piers, pick on someone else for a change."
The family returned to the U.K. on August 12th, but the scandal followed them.
