Lizzo “Melts” After Harry Styles Calls Her “Amazing,” Covers “Juice”

Harry Styles was out here makin’ news on Wednesday when he performed a faithful cover of Lizzo’s “Juice” for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Rolling Stone notes that Styles changed up a couple of the references in the lyrics; for example, he replaced “b**ch” with “Mitch” in honor of his guitarist, Mitch Rowland, and swapped out “David” for “Jeffrey”–as in his manager, Jeffrey Azoff–in the line, “David, you ain’t bein’ slick / Don’t dare try to cop a feel.” But otherwise, Styles didn’t gender-flip the song–even smiling coyly as he belted out, “Somebody come get this man, I think he got lost in my DMs.” Styles also raved about Lizzo on the show. “I just think she’s amazing; she’s one of the most exciting artists working now for sure,” he gushed. “She’s exactly what you want an artist to be, which is themselves.” Lizzo retweeted Styles’ kind words and wrote, “Melts.”
