Lizzo Cancels Another Performance Due to Flu Ahead of “SNL” Appearance
Turns out, Lizzo’s 100 percent that sick! On Monday, the hitmaker announced that she’s canceling another show this week as she continues to battle the flu. “To my Hartford fans…I am so sorry I have to cancel my performance tomorrow due to the flu,” Lizzo said in a statement ahead of her scheduled appearance Tuesday night at the Xfinity Theatre in Connecticut. “I hate letting my fans down more than anything. I hope that you all can forgive me while I recover and I promise we are doing everything we can to make it up to you.” EW reports that the Hartford show has been canceled outright with no plans to reschedule, and was also supposed to feature performances by Megan Thee Stallion and Saweetie. Lizzo previously bowed out of her appearance at a Jingle Ball show in Boston this past Sunday due to the flu. She’s scheduled to serve as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this coming weekend alongside host Eddie Murphy. “It’s unclear at the moment whether she will go through with the appearance,” EW notes.
