Kim Kardashian is no stranger to watching her Instagram posts enrage as much as they inspire. To be fair, the reality star and mother of three (soon to be four!) has 124 million followers on Instagram, so every post is bound to garner a big reaction. The latest uproar happened over a now-deleted post praising Dolce & Gabbana, a fashion house that has been blacklisted by many for the founders’ controversial comments about gay adoption and IVF.
Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have openly opposed both gay adoption and IFV. "We oppose gay adoptions," Domenico said back in 2015. "The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus." He later apologized.
Stefano, as recently as June, landed in hot water for calling for calling Selena Gomez "ugly" (twice).
Fans were surprised at Kim’s tone-deaf post, especially considering she has had one (soon to be two) kids via a surrogate and because Stefano once called her family the "cheapest" in the world.
One social media user wrote, "you have a platform, you have a voice, you have impact. Use it to educate instead of endorse," while another opined, "Mad disappointed in @KimKardashianfor giving Dolce & Gabbana air time on her instagram story. I refuse to support unapologetic racists that attack those who don’t agree with them. I will never get over their ignorance and hate and I need those with large platforms to do the same."
