After more than a decade of worldwide fame, fans expect a certain level of tell-it-like-it-is honesty from Kim Kardashian, along with the photo-shopped veneer of perfection she projects. She hit it out of the park again, sitting down for a luxe Vogue Arabia shoot, and then admitting that yep, as suspected, she was once totally obsessed with money and fame.
Things have changed though, she says: "Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed. I do agree that fame can be addictive. But now, my focus has shifted."
Now that she has 16 seasons of KUWTK, four kids and a marriage with Kanye West (plus breakups and a messy divorce), not to mention a high-profile robbery and subsequent image makeover under her belt, she says that even though her focus has changed, she has no regrets about her past excesses and overshares.
She says: "Even in my darkest of times I don't regret putting myself out there for the world to see. People have shared with me over the years how much it has helped them to feel less alone when dealing with their own adversity."
So what is the lawyer in training focusing on? Prison reform, and passing the bar in 2022.
In other Kardashian news, she renamed her shapewear brand Solutionwear after being accused of cultural appropriation for naming it Kimono originally. The line drops September 10th.
