JUDGE Oks SUIT ACCUSING HARVEY WEINSTEIN OF SEX TRAFFICKING

A federal judge in Manhattan has given a lawsuit accusing disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sex trafficking the green light, Page Six reports.

The suit was filed by Kadian Noble, an aspiring British actress who claims he violated federal sex trafficking laws when he brought her to his hotel room in Cannes, promising roles in exchange for sex.

Weinstein’s legal team argued that allowing the suit to move forward "would unfairly expand the federal sex-trafficking statute to all sexual activity occurring between adults in which one party holds a superior position of power and influence," court papers obtained by Page Six show.

Noble claims that in 2014, he invited her to his room at Le Majestic Hotel to discuss her film reel, but instead assaulted her.
