Jessica Chastain did not like what she saw on HBO’s Game of Thrones Sunday night. The Oscar nominee took to Twitter to call out a moment involving her Dark Phoenix costar Sophie Turner.
The episode, "The Last of the Starks," depicts Turner’s Sansa Stark in conversation with The Hound (Rory McCann) about the abuse she endured at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). In the show, she said it made her stronger.
She tweeted: "Rape is not a tool to make a character stronger. A woman doesn't need to be victimized in order to become a butterfly. The #littlebird was always a Phoenix. Her prevailing strength is solely because of her. And her alone."
