Jenna Dewan is getting real about her split from ex-husband Channing Tatum in her new wellness book, Gracefully You: How To Live Your Best Life Every Day. The 38-year-old writes that she "felt blindsided" when news of his new romance with Jessie J hit the bloids in October of 2018.
"I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn't have to face–and over the internet, as it was happening," she wrote in an excerpt published by E!.
"There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship. I felt blindsided. Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult," she added.
Channing and Dewan share Everly, 6. They announced their split after nine years of marriage in April of 2018.
Dewan has found love again too, with Steve Kazee, a Tony Award-winning actor with whom she is expecting a child. And despite her shock at Tatum's quick bounce-back, when fans slammed the 31-year-old singer, Dewan stood up for her on social media.
She wrote: "Women for women all the way. No need for negativity. Let's live in a world where we support each other and raise each other up. Like I said before, positive vibes all the way. Nothing but respect," Dewan shared in an online post.
Gracefully hits bookshelves October 22nd.
