Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans has split from her husband of nearly two years, David Eason. She stood by him during numerous public scandals, including the time he shot and killed her dog Nugget in front of her children six months ago. The shooting and her relaxed reaction—defending Eason and opting to stay with him—got her fired from her MTV show.
At the time, Eason, 30, said he did it because the dog snapped at their 2-year-old Ensley.
"With time away from Teen Mom, I've started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I'm starting that now," Evans, 27, wrote on social media on Thursday, October 31. "The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I've filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you'll hear from us again soon."
Followers have been calling on Evans to leave Eason for her and her children's safety. For a time, the Department of Child Services removed their children from their home, but they eventually got them back. Evans also shared Kaiser, 4, with her ex Nathan Griffith. Her eldest child Jace, 9, lives with her mom.
On Twitter, after learning of her news, her fans pretty much screamed in unison, "You got this," and "FINALLY!"
