Jenelle Evans is trying to put a positive spin on things after getting ousted from MTV’s Teen Mom 2. The firing came after her husband David Eason shot her dog Nugget, and went on social media attempting to vindicate himself by saying Nugget nipped their 2-year-old daughter.
After the scandal broke last week, MTV began waving goodbye to lucrative advertising deals from Chipotle, Twix and many other companies.
"Jenelle is focusing on her family and moving forward," Evans’ management and representative team tell People in a statement. "She is very grateful and appreciative of the opportunity MTV have given her and her family for the last 10 years. It is sad to part ways in this matter but this isn’t the end of Jenelle Evans or her family."
She told Us Weekly herself, meanwhile, that she was "shocked but saw it coming." She added that is working on her marriage with Eason and will "continue to try what’s best for me and my family."
Evans starred in Teen Mom since its debut in 2011.
MTV released a statement Tuesday saying that they’d cut ties with her and that she would not appear in the upcoming season.
