NETFLIX GREENLIGHTS THE ONE: The mega-streamer Netflix has given The One, a 10-episode drama from Howard Overman based on the sci-fi novel of the same name by John Marrs. Here’s the logline, per Deadline: The One is set five minutes in the future, in a world where a DNA test can find your perfect partner – the one person you’re genetically predisposed to fall passionately in love with. No matter how good your relationship, which one of us can honestly say we haven’t thought about whether there is someone better out there? What if a hair sample is all it takes to find them? The idea is simple, but the implications are explosive.

TRAILER FOR A CHRISTMAS PRINCE DROPS: Netflix has dropped the trailer for A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding. Last year, when the streamer dropped A Christmas Prince, it became one of the most talked (and groaned) about Christmas TV movies of the season. Yes, it is the one everyone loves to hate. The Royal Wedding takes place a year after journalist Amber (Rose McIver) traveled to Aldonia to write a story about Prince Richard (Ben Lamb), only to wind up falling in love with him. Now, she has cold feet and a political crisis threatens the kingdom. The Royal Wedding drops November 20th. Consider yourselves warned.
