House of Cards bows November 2nd.

DARK PHOENIX TRAILER DROPS: Sophie Turner is going off the deep end. In the trailer for Dark Phoenix, she is reprising her role as Jean Grey. An accident has made her more powerful, more unstable and more susceptible to Magento’s malign influence. Jessica Chastain plays evil empress Lilandra. Can the X-Men save Grey and stop Lilandra? Dark Phoenix drops into theaters February 14, 2019.

TONY GOLDWYN JOINS BROADWAY’S NETWORK: Tony Goldwyn is returning to Broadway in Ivo van Hove’s Network. He will star as TV exec Max Schumacher opposite Bryan Cranston and Tatiana Maslany for the adaptation of the classic Oscar-winning 1976 film. Goldwyn can next be seen opposite Uma Thurman in Netflix’s Chambers. Network will begin Saturday, November 10 at the Belasco Theatre, with an official opening on Thursday, December 6.

NICOLE KIDMAN & AMAZON GRAB THE FEMALE PERSUASION: Meg Wolitzer’s The Female Persuasion has been snapped up by Amazon Studios. Nicole Kidman, Lynda Obst and Per Saari will produce as part of the Oscar-winning star’s recent first-look production deal with Amazon (via her shop Blossom Films). Kidman has the option of appearing the film. Wolitzer’s novel The Wife was recently adapted for the big screen and stars Glenn Close.
