ANIKA NONI ROSE WANTED PRINCESS TIANA REDRAWN: When Disney shared footage from the Wreck-It-Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet, fans of Princess Tiana noticed that she had a different look than she did in her stand-alone film, The Princess and the Frog. Her nose was slimmer, her skin and hair were lighter. On Instagram, Tiana’s voice Anika Noni Rose said she asked animators to redraw the character. Her objections seem to have been heard: in the latest trailer, Tiana looks more like her old self.

VERONICA MARS REMAKE WELCOMES FAMOUS FACES: Jason Dohring (Logan), Francis Capra (Weevil), Percy Daggs III (Wallace) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas) are joining Kristen Bell for Hulu’s upcoming Veronica Mars revival. Creator Rob Thomas shared the news on Twitter, along with an "early wardrobe photo."

SHONDA RHIMES, JADA PINKETT SMITH JOIN AMERICAN SON: Shonda Rhimes, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Dwayne Wade and Jada Pinkett Smith have signed on to produce Broadways’ upcoming American Son. Kerry Washington and Steven Pasquale star in the play, which tackles issues of race and law enforcement. The play is written by Christopher Demos-Brown and directed by Tony-winner Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun). American Son’s 16-week limited engagement begins previews Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Booth Theatre, with an opening night of Sunday, Nov. 4.

MAKING A MURDERER 2 DETAILS REVEALED: Netflix has slated Part 2 of Making a Murderer for October 19th. The second chapter will continue to chronicle the journey of Steven Avery from DNA exoneree and reformer to convicted murderer. Avery and his co-defendant (his nephew Brendan Dassey), family members and their lawyers will be interviewed and featured. "Steven and Brendan, their families and their legal and investigative teams have once again graciously granted us access, giving us a window into the complex web of American criminal justice," said executive producers, writers and directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos. "Building on Part 1, which documented the experience of the accused, in Part 2, we have chronicled the experience of the convicted and imprisoned, two men each serving life sentences for crimes they maintain they did not commit. We are thrilled to be able to share this new phase of the journey with viewers."

BET SETS LATE NIGHT SHOW WITH TMZ’s RAQUEL HARPER: TMZ’s Raquel Harper is taking her web series to BET Networks. Twelve half-hour episodes of Raq Rants will debut October 16that midnight on BET. She will continue to take her distinctive interviewing skills to the streets to chat with personalities in music, TV, movies and sports.
