FIRST TRAILER FOR ORSON WELLES FILM DROPS: Orson Welles’ final film, The Other Side of the Wind, took 48 years to complete. It makes its bow at the 75th Venice Film Festival after being meticulously re-edited and re-written. Netflix spearheaded the effort, and also produced a documentary about Welles, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, to accompany it. Wind will be released in select theaters and on Netflix November 2.

RYAN GOSLING TALKS FIRST MAN: As Universal’s First Man opens at the 75th Venice Film Festival, the Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling are giving insight into the process of telling Neil Armstrong’s story. Gosling said in researching the intensely private Armstrong, "I’ve never had more help in my life on a film… Whether it was Neil’s sons or his late ex-wife Janet or Neil’s sister, his childhood friends… NASA opened the door to the facilities. Neil ws a very famously introspective quiet humble person so the challenge was to honor that but also to create windows into what he might be or had been experiencing emotionally at the time."

BIG MOUTH GETS SEASON 2 PREMIERE: Netflix says that Big Mouth will bow its second season on October 5th. The animated series follows a group of seventh-graders grappling with hormones and the awkward path to self discovery. Co-creator and exec producer Nick Kroll leads the voice cast, with John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein.

FACEBOOK WATCH GOES GLOBAL: Facebook is bringing its Watch platform global, a little more than a year after the social behemoth launched the video effort in the U.S. The platform offers entertainment, news and sports, including the popular Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, beauty mogul Huda Kattan’s behind-the-scenes show Huda Boss and live Major League Baseball games.
