VIOLA DAVIS RECRUITS SOME CRIMINALS: In Widows, Viola Davis recruits Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki and Cynthia Erivo to finish their late husbands’ criminal enterprise. Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry and Daniel Kaluuya also star; Steve McQueen and Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) penned the script. McQueen also directed the darker answer to the all-girls crime spree (we’re looking at you, Ocean’s 8). The trailer landed Wednesday, the film drops November 16th.

JESSE WILLIAMS & JORDANA BREWSTER SIGN ON FOR RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE: Grey’s Anatomy fave Jesse Williams and The Fast and the Furious star Jordana Brewster are in for Jay Baruchel’s Random Acts of Violence. Baruchel wrote, and will direct and star in the road-trip horror flick. Longtime writing partner Jesse Chabot also helped pen the script, which is based on the eponymous graphic novel, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray.

ELLEN DEGENERES TO DESIGN LINE FOR WALMART: The comedian Ellen DeGeneres is launching a clothing line based on her casual personal style for Walmart. In 2014, DeGeneres founded luxe lifestyle company ED, which offers clothing, home goods and pet products. She also teamed up with the Gap to release a clothing line. EV1 stands for "everyone" and will hit Walmart shelves September 10th. Each of the 60 clothing styles cost $30 or less.
