DIAHANN CARROLL DIES: Diahann Carroll, who made history as the African American star of NBC's 1960s sitcom Julia, has died at age 84. She also starred in Dynasty. Carroll, a stage and nightclub performer, made strides for diversity when she was tasked with leading a primetime series in a non-stereotypical role. Carroll stayed active well into the aughts, taking on roles in Grey's Anatomy and Lonesome Dove: The Series, among others.

DWAYNE JOHNSON, DANY GARCIA, MORE SIGN ON FOR DISNEY DOCUSERIES: Seven Bucks Productions and The Nacelle Company are teaming up to produce Behind the Attraction for Disney Plus, Variety reports. The show will delve into how popular Disney attractions came into being, and how they evolved. Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Kevin Hill from Seven Bucks Productions will executive produce, as will Brian Volk-Weiss, Robin Henry and Cisco Henson from The Nacelle Company. Volk-Weiss will also direct.

HARRY SHUM JR. TO STAR IN ALL MY LIFE: Crazy Rich Asians star Harry Shum Jr. will star in Universal's All My Life, opposite Jessica Rothe. The story will follow the lives of Jenn Carter and husband Solomon Chau as they plan their wedding in the face of Chau's liver cancer. They raised money for their wedding through a GoFundMe account and married four months before he died.

RACHAEL LEIGH COOK, DAMON WAYANS JR. TO STAR IN LOVE, GUARANTEED: Rachael Leigh Cook is set to star alongside Damon Wayans Jr. in Love, Guaranteed, a Netflix original that she is also producing. Mark Steven Johnson is directing; the story centers on Susan (Cook), who takes on too many pro bono cases. To balance her books, she takes on Nick (Wayan Jr.), a high-paying client who wants to sue a dating website.
