M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN'S SERVANT TO PREVIEW AT COMIC CON: Apple TV+ will present a peek at M. Night Shyamalan's new series at New York's Comic Con next month. Servant will bow Thursday, October 3rd at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The series follows a Philadelphia couple who are in mourning after a horrific tragedy occurs, opening the door to a mysterious force that enters their lives. Apple TV + launches November 1st.

ADAM SANDLER'S UNCUT GEMS TRAILER DROPS: Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie's crime thriller starring Adam Sandler has dropped a trailer. The film follows jeweler Howard Ratner (Sandler), as he makes bets that could lead to a huge windfall or destruction. The film also stars Lakeith Stanfield, Julia Fox, Kevin Garnett, Idina Menzel, Eric Bogosian and Judd Hirsch. Uncut Gems bows December 13th.

TOM HANKS TO REVEIVE CECIL B. DEMILLE AWARD: Two-time Oscar-winner and four-time Golden Globes winner Tom Hanks has been named as the recipient of this year's Cecil B. DeMille Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The honorary award will be given at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 5 at the Beverly Hilton. "The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is proud to bestow the 2020 Cecil B. DeMille Award to Tom Hanks," said HFPA President Lorenzo Soria. "For more than three decades, he's captivated audiences with rich and playful characters that we've grown to love and admire. As compelling as he is on the silver screen, he's equally so behind the camera as a writer, producer and director. We're honored to include Mr. Hanks with such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese and Barbra Streisand to name a few."

GUILLERMO DEL TORO SETS SHORT STORY COLLECTION: Guillermo del Toro is set to publish a short story collection with Amazon in 2021. "Throughout the years, I've been inspired by reading short stories, from ghost stories to fairy tales. Now I have the privilege to create and share my own," said del Toro in a statement. Del Toro's not the first Hollywood star to partner with the company: Amazon also announced a plan to publish a collection by Mindy Kaling in the summer of 2020.
