ROMAN POLANSKI SKIPS VENICE PREMIERE: Roman Polanski, whose film about the Dreyfus Affair premiered Friday, did not travel to Italy for the premiere because of the outstanding warrant for his arrest. An Officer and a Spy, the latest for the Oscar-winning, controversial director, premiered Friday. The 86-year-old remains a fugitive after fleeing the U.S. in 1977 shortly before his scheduled sentencing on a rape charge. Louis Garrel stars as Captain Alfred Dreyfus. Mathieu Amalric, Olivier Gourmet and Emmanuelle Seigner, Polanski's wife, co-star.

WALKING DEAD TRAILER DROPS: After surviving the Governor, Negan, Terminus and zombies, the Whisperers War may spell doom for Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ross Marquand, Christian Serratos and the rest, a new trailer for season 10 implies. Season 10 premieres Sunday, Oct. 6 on AMC.

OLIVER SACKS HEADED FOR FESTIVALS: Friday marked the fourth anniversary of the death of the renowned neurologist and author Oliver Sacks. Meanwhile, Ric Burns' Oliver Sacks: His Own Life has joined the lineup at the Telluride Film Festival. Next up, the film will be screened at the New York Film Festival.

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE TRAILER DROPS: The trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate has arrived. The peek at Tim Miller's continuation of the franchise incudes plenty of effects and action, but no hints as to what the story is about. Terminator: Dark Fate, starring Linda Hamilton ("Sarah Connor") and Arnold Schwarzenegger ("T-800"),opens November 1.
