STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER TEASER DROPS: The new teaser for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has dropped, Disney released a two minute+ clip at its D23 Expo in Anaheim. The clip includes a trip down memory lane with Luke (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (the late Carrie Fisher). Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) are also up for peeks. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters Dec. 20.

NETFLIX GREENLIGHTS CLICKBAIT: A new thriller from the prolific Australian producer Tony Ayres, writer Christian White and Harry Potter producer David Heyman is in the works for Netflix. Clickbait is an eight-episode character-based thriller exploring the ways in which dangerous impulses are magnified in the era of social media, and the ways in which virtual and real-life personas diverge.

MARTIN SCORSESE TO RECEIVE SBIFF'S 14thANNUAL KIRK DOUGLAS AWARD: Oscar-winner Martin Scorsese has been selected to receive the 14th annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The honor will be presented on Thursday, November 14th at a Black Tie dinner at the Ritz Carlton Bacara. "Martin Scorsese is a brilliant filmmaker. He has made countless unforgettable films and is a true cinematic treasure. I am honored and grateful that he will receive the 14th annual Kirk Douglas Award," states Kirk Douglas.

SANDRA OH SIGNS ON FOR SHE WALKS WITH APES: Sandra Oh has signed on to narrate a feature-length documentary about three women who delved into Africa and Borneo to live with great apes and study their behavior. She Walks With Apes will follow the story of Jane Goodall, who came to be the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees. Filmed in 4K, it is set to launch on Canada's CBC September 20th.
