THE FIRST MAJOR VERONICA MARS TRAILER DROPS: Five years after Veronica Mars left fans in the lurch, it is returning to Hulu in an eight-part miniseries. In the first major trailer, Kristen Bell is deploying her sassy private eye skills during spring break in Neptune, California and just generally kicking butt with guns and tasers. "When your best friend is murdered before your 17th birthday, you don't develop a keen sense of mercy," Veronica says in a voiceover.The show drops Friday, July 26th.

BIG BANG THEORY STARS BID FAREWELL: After shooting the final episode of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, the stars took to social media to bid farewell after 12 seasons. "Here we go. One last time," Mayim Bialik wrote, along with sharing a picture of the iconic lot water tower. Next to a picture of the cast hugging, Simon Helberg wrote, "We have done this 278 times. Before every show. For 12 years. Tonight we’ll do it for the last time." The final episode will air May 16th.

HULU GROWS TO 28M SUBSCRIBERS: Hulu now tops 28 million subscribers in the U.S. The streamer grew its base by 40%, or 8 million members, in the last year alone. Hulu has been aggressively growing its ad-supported plan by slashing prices to $6 per month.

PREACHERS OF LA ANNOUNCES FAITH-BASED SVOD SERVICE: Exec producer Lemuel Plummer (Preachers of L.A.) has created the first-ever streaming video-on-demand service targeted at religiously minded African Americans. In partnership with ICM Partners and Ebony/JET Magazines, the service is expected to roll out in the third quarter of this year. "Delivering compelling content to a passionate fan base is the basis of Black Box Faith’s business model and we are excited to expend our expertise and capital to get behind such a compelling business and programming model," said Ted Chervin, Co-Managing Director of ICM Partners.
