THERE ARE SIX THAI CAVE-RESCUE FILMS IN DEVELOPMENT: Last week, 12 members of the Wild Boards Team and their coach were rescued from Thailand’s Tham Luang Nang Non cave system as the world watched. Now, there are six movies being developed, per Variety: "Five international film production companies have proposed to the commerce and foreign ministries that they make a movie and a documentary about the rescue operation," Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat said. Additionally, a Thai company is working on a movie based on the rescue. Jon M. Chu (Now You See Me 2) and Ivanhoe Pictures announced their intentions formall, as did Pure Flix Entertainment and De Warrenne Productions, with Thai-Irish producer-director Tom Waller helming the effort.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY SEASON 8 TITLE UNVEILED: The new season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s American Horror Story is coming together. The eighth season of the FX anthology has been titled Apocalypse, and will bow September 12th. This iteration will feature a crossover of earlier seasons Murder House and Coven. Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and newbie Joan Collins will star.

NORMAN REEDUS & STX PARTNER ON PROJECT: The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus has inked a deal with STX Entertainment, Deadline reports."Norman has steadily built up a devoted fan following across movies and television with memorable performances," STX said of the project. "STX is thrilled to collaborate with Norman on this new film project that we are custom-creating for him and with him and that will be sure to excite his tremendous fan base."

GLASS TEASER DROPS: Fans are getting a look at Samuel L. Jackson in Glass. The final entrée in the Unbreakable and Split superhero trilogy is being directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It will feature the return of Unbreakable’s Jackson and Bruce Willis, and Split’s James McAvoy. "I’m a comic book expert," Jackson’s Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass, says in the teaser. "I create the extraordinary. It is time to show the world what we are capable of." Earlier this week, teasers featuring Willis and McAvoy were tweeted out.

TIM KANG JOINS MAGNUM P.I.: CBS’ forthcoming reboot of Magnum P.I. has added Tim Kang to play the role of Detective Gordon Katsumoto. The Mentalist alum’s new character is being described as "up-and-comer in the Honolulu PD and nobody better get in his way – especially Thomas Magnum." Magnum P.I., starring Jay Hernandez as the titular investigator, premieres on CBS September 24.=
