WHY WAS JULIANNE MOORE FIRED? When Julianne Moore dropped the bombshell that she was fired from Can You Ever Forgive Me?, tongues began wagging. The role, of course, went to Melissa McCarthy, who earned an Oscar nomination for her part in the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer-director Nicole Holofcener did in fact give her the boot for creative differences. Sources tell THR that Moore, 58, wanted to wear a prosthetic nose, and Holofcener felt the fake nose would district.
AVENGERS: ENDGAME TRAILER DROPS: Robert Downey’s Iron Man intones, "Seems like a thousand years ago I fought my way out of that cave," as the new Avengers: Endgame trailer drops. Avengers: Endgame is produced by Kevin Feige, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing. Stars include Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America (Chris Evans), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and, of course, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. The film drops April 26th.
DENZEL WASHINGTON TO STAR IN LITTLE THINGS: Denzel Washington is in talks to star in Little Things, Variety reports. The thriller will be likely be directed by The Blind Side helmer John Lee Hancock, who is also writing the script. The story will follow a burnt-out sheriff played by Washington who teams up with an LASD detective in a bid to nab a serial killer.
FOUR WEDDINGS AT 25: Four Weddings and a Funeral took the world by storm 25 years ago, grossing $245 million on a $4 million budget. Now, the Hugh Grant and Kristin Scott Thomas-starring film is getting a short reunion film, set to air on the BBC as part of Comic Relief tonight (Friday, March 15th.)
