JERRY SEINFELD WEIGHS IN ON KEVIN HART, OSCARS FLAP: Jerry Seinfeld is discussing Kevin Hart following the Academy Awards flap, and he is clearly siding with Hart. (He was famously ousted when homophobic tweets were resurfaced). Seinfeld is set to speak with Willie Geist on NBC’s Sunday Today, and a clip was leaked ahead of time. "I think Kevin is going to be fine, but find another Kevin Hart, that's not so easy," Seinfeld said of the Academy's current host-free Oscars ceremony. "He's a brilliant guy with a movie career." A replacement has not yet been named. Seinfeld adds that he thinks comedy has always been rife with offensive jokes: "Look, when I started out, there were dirty comedians— Well, if you want to get on The Tonight Show, you can't use any of those words. And a lot of us went, 'OK. I still want to play. I'll play.' Here's a new rule, we're cutting this out. 'Ok. I'll get around that.' So, that's our thing. It's like Lindsey Vonn: wherever you put the gates, I'm going to make them."

FACEBOOK RENEWS SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, FIVE POINTS: Facebook has renewed four original series for second seasons: Five Points, Huda Boss, Sacred Lies and Sorry for Your Loss. Collectively, the shows bring in 1.3 million viewers and join an increasingly diverse roster of programming, including Jada Pinkett Smith’s hit Red Table Talk, the game show Confetti and the planned reboot of MTV’s The Real World. "With our originals, our aim is to give people programing that not only serves to entertain, but to also bring them closer together," said Ricky Van Veen, Facebook’s head of global creative strategy. "We’ve intentionally focused on content with the potential to have an extended life on Facebook beyond the initial airing of the shows, that sparks conversations and two-way interactions."
