HUGH GRANT PROMPTS DEBATE BY SAYING MOVIE THEATERS ARE ‘UNENDURABLE’

Hugh Grant says that the "unendurable" volume of watching Joker in the theater ruined the experience for him.

"Am I old or is the cinema MUCH TOO LOUD?" he tweeted after going to see the Joaquin Phoenix-starring new film at a Vue cinema in Fulham, London.

He then called the experience "unendurable" and "pointless."

Several users sympathized with Grant. Tweeted one: "Cinemas are way too loud for me nowadays."

Despite the volume, moviegoers are coming out in droves to see Joker, which has enjoyed the biggest October opener ever, grossing $93.5 million in its first weekend. Grant can next be seen in theaters with Matthew McConaughey in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen.
