FXX to Air All 661 “Simpsons” Episodes in Order During 15-Day Marathon

FXX announced Friday that they plan to broadcast a record-breaking marathon of <i>The Simpsons</i>, during which it will air all 661 episodes of the beloved animated comedy in order, UPI reports. The 15-day marathon will begin on December 17 at 8 p.m. ET, which marks the 30-year anniversary of the show’s 1989 premiere. FXX will air the show in sequence, including <i>The Simpsons Movie</i> that was released between Season 18 and 19, as well as the short film <i>The Longest Daycare</i>, which was released between seasons 23 and 24. <i>The Simpsons</i> Plus+Size Holiday Marathon will conclude on New Year’s Eve at 4:40 p.m. ET. Upon completion, it will have broken the record for  the longest-running marathon in television history by passing the 13-day <i>Simpsons</i> marathon that took place in 2016.
