When Christian Bale took on the role of Dick Cheney for 2018's "Vice", the actor had to gain 40 plus pounds; months later, his new role as champion racer Ken Miles demanded a loss of that weight. Bale comments on the small space in the classic cars, saying "…these things are not made for comfort, these cars. They're tight. So, I couldn't bloody get in them." Despite having a short window to lose the pounds, Bale managed to get fit again.
Bale, who stars alongside Matt Damon in the upcoming film "Ford v Ferrari", discusses how both actors honed in on the intricacies of their characters. Bale reflected on his experience, saying "He was an easy character to channel intensity into, but a great deal of fun as well." The film hits theaters on November 15th.
