On Tuesday night, country stars from all eras gathered for a TV special celebrating Dolly Parton’s 50-year tenure as a Grand Ole Opry member. Lady Antebellum sang “Islands in the Stream,” while Emmylou Harris did an acoustic version of “To Daddy” and Margo Price sang “The Seeker.” Parton herself closed the show by singing such classics as “Jolene” and “Coat of Many Colors.” Speaking to <i>Variety</i> beforehand, Parton called her Opry membership “one of the highlights of my whole life because it was a true dream of mine.”
