Having a pet while holding down a full-time job can be challenging. Constance Wu apparently assuaged her guilt by giving her pet bunny the run of the fancy NYC penthouse she was renting, Page Six reports.
The problem is, bunny wasn’t housetrained, and ended up leaving evidence of her presence in the form of poop and pee all over the apartment. When the housecleaner who was hired by the owner came in to tidy up once a week came in, she was reportedly shocked to see the mess covering the $6.5 million Chelsea home, not to mention the odor.
A source sniffs: "The place totally stank, it was disgusting, there were little pellets of poo everywhere, and Constance seemed oblivious to it. She seems to sleep with the bunny, and there was even poop in the bed."
Wu—who has garnered a rep for being difficult to work with and created a stir last week by initially complaining about then apologizing for complaining about, the renewal of her ABC show Fresh Off the Boat—rented the place while she was filming Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez.
When the owner caught wind of Wu’s unusual approach to pet-care, they told her to keep bunny in a cage. When Wu refused to comply, the owner reportedly called Wu’s manager and threatened to give her the boot.
