Charli XCX & Troye Sivan Reunite on Futuristic New Track “2099”

Charli XCX & Troye Sivan Reunite on Futuristic New Track “2099”

Just about a year ago, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan collaborated on the nostalgic hit single, “1999.” Now they’re back–to the future!–on a sort-of sequel to that joint effort, “2099.” Rolling Stone calls the NSFW track a “futuristic, synth-heavy song” which will serve as the closing track on XCX’s new album Charli, which arrives this coming Friday. XCX also promised Monday on Instagram, “‘2099’ VIDEO IS COMING SOON.” Charli will also include “1999,” as well as such previously released collaborations as “Warm” with Haim, “Blame It on Your Love” with Lizzo, and “Gone” with Christine and the Queens.
