QUEEN AND PRINCE PHILIP MISS PRINCE LOUIS’ CHRISTENING: Prince Louis, the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and fifth in line to the throne, has been christened at a private ceremony at The Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace. Most royals were in attendance (including of course mom Kate Middleton and dad Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), but Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were not able to attend. Reports indicate that their absence was due to Philip’s ill-health. The 97-year-old retired from public life last September and has only appeared for a few public occasions since. The 92-year-old Queen has also cut back on appearances, handing some of her duties to her heir, Prince Charles.
KIM KARDASHIAN WEST PITCHES GOVERNOR JERRY BROWN ON PRISON REFORM: Kim Kardashian West is focused on prison reform after visiting a California prison for women over the weekend. So much so, she is reaching out to Governor Jerry Brown on Twitter and asking him to sign Assembly Bill 2550, which would reduce the amount of time male prison guards are allowed to interact with inmates. She wrote: "The women I met at CA Women's Institution are still on my mind and in my heart." Kardashian West has a good track record with legislators: she successfully pitched President Donald Trump to dismiss the life sentence of great-grandmother and low-level drug offender Alice Marie Johnson.
JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS IS ON THE MEND: Julia Louis-Dreyfus is getting some much-needed chill time after completing cancer treatments. She and her husband Brad Hall are currently vacationing in Hawaii, and the Veep star is still somehow able to happily rock a bikini months after finishing chemo. She even posted a cute selfie from the beach.
GAL GADOT VISITS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AS WONDER WOMAN: Gal Gadot popped up at Inova Health Children’s Hospital in Virginia, wearing full Wonder Woman regalia. The staff and the kids were delighted. "Thank you @GalGadotfor visiting us @InovaHealthChildren's Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it...and so did the staff #wonderwoman84," Dr. Lucas Collazo, a doctor at the hospital specializing in congenital heart disease, captioned a group shot on Twitter. Gadot is in the area shooting the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel.
