DWAYNE JOHNSON DISCUSSES TITANS INSPIRATION: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is ready to put people to the test in his new NBC competition series, The Titan Games. The 46-year-old tells People: "When we started this, I had one thing in mind: create the most epic and insane athletic competition ever devised. I wanted this show to be a reflection of my passions," the show’s host and executive producer explains. "Every challenge these competitors will face is inspired by the workouts that have fueled me, the struggles I’ve experienced and the disciplines I believe in." He adds that the show will "test every fiber of their being — mind, body and soul — and give everyday people a chance to become Titans. Titans aren’t born — they’re made, right here." The Titan Games premieres Jan. 2 from 8-10 p.m. ET on NBC and will start airing in its regularly scheduled 8-9 p.m. timeslot beginning Wednesday, Jan. 9.

MISCHA BARTON GETS SOCIAL WITH THE HILLS CAST: Mischa Barton shared a shot of herself snuggling with The Hills costars Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt over the weekend. "On wednesdays we wear whatever we want…and you can totally sit with us," she captioned the shot, in a reference to Mean Girls. The revival of The Hills will premiere on MTV in 2019. While Barton wasn’t part of the original cast, O.C., the hit show she starred in inspired MTV’s Laguna Beach, which spun off into The Hills. Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s son Brandon Lee has also reportedly joined the reboot, Page Six reports.

Dash married Jeffrey Marty, best known as the man behind the fake Rep. Steven Smith of Georgia, the first "congressman" to support Donald Trump’s presidential run.

REESE WITHERSPOON PRODUCING ABC COMEDY ABOUT UNDOCUMENTED FAMILY: ABC is developing Americanized, a half-hour comedy inspired by Sara Saedi’s memoir of the same name with Reese Witherspoon. Her production company, Hello Sunshine, has an overall broadcast deal with ABC.

JOHNNY DEPP SAYS J.K. ROWLING ‘KNOWS’ HE WAS FALSELY ACCUSED: J.K. Rowling got serious blowback when Johnny Depp was cast in Fantastic Beasts following his now ex-wife Amber Heard’s allegations of abuse. But Depp tells Entertainment Weekly that Rowling knew he was "falsely accused." He adds: "J.K. has seen the evidence and therefore knows I was falsely accused, and that’s why she has publicly supported me. She doesn’t take things lightly. She would not stand up if she didn’t know the truth. So that’s really it."
